• “ My sons have participated in many fishing trips through you all. I wanted to let you know that the boys LOVED fishing today. They came home and raved about their time catching trout and sunfish. “
  • “Thanks for taking the kids out fishing on Columbus Day! Lily loved every minute! I never knew how much she would love the outdoors. She looks more forward to this than anything. She is already talking about wanting to canoe and kayak more!”
  • “I filled wanted to write a personal note to let you know just how much Brendan absolutely LOVED the fishing camp. They just had a blast at each different fishing site each day. I have recommended this camp to many friends who were just so excited to hear about it, that there is such an option. “
  • “My son thoroughly enjoyed himself at your camp this year! We will definitely be attending Fishing Day Camp, Kayaking Fishing, and probably a couple other V.O. camps next summer. Thanks a million!”
Our fleet of Jackson  and Innova sit-on-top kayaks offers the perfect vehicle for adventure and excitement on Virginia's waters. They are easy to paddle, extrememly safe, and allow us to get close to the fish and wildlife.
This camp is perfect for campers who have been to our fishing camps before and are looking to do something a little different, or for those who have never been with us before, but who love being outside and in charge of their own destiny.

Our staff has completed the ACA Level I kayak assessment and will instruct campers on safety, paddling, and general maneuvering of a sit-on-top kayak. As campers learn throughout the week at various locations we incorporate fishing, sightseeing and touring while paddling on all types of water.

From local lakes and rivers like Bull Run, Fountainhead, and tidal creeks of the Potomac, we will progress to days on lazy rivers that include the Shenandoah, Rappahannock, and Rapidan Rivers.

A kayak is a great way to get close to nature and we expect to see bald eagles, ospreys, herons, deer and beaver. When we are fishing our catch will include large and smallmouth bass, catfish, sunfish, crappie, and anything else that bites. Kayaks, paddles, life vests, and fishing gear are provided by Virginia Outside.
